TASTYBABY SALUTES FRIEND & DAD, GREG KINNEAR
Greg Kinnear's new movie, Feast of Love, opened in Theater's Septemeber 28th. Although this movie would not be a great choice for the kids (it has an 'R' rating), it sounds like the perfect date movie. Call up the babysitter and take your wife or hubby out to this movie starring some of Hollywoods most talented actors, including our personal friend, Greg Kinnear. We caught up with Greg and asked him some questions about what it's like to juggle a successful acting career and still be a great Dad. Also, here's a short plot synopsis and the trailer for Feast of Love:
"When a nice coffee shop owner (Greg Kinnear) has his life thrown into turmoil after his wife (Selma Blair) leaves him for another woman (Alexa Davalos), his best friend (Morgan Freeman) does his best to encourage him to get back into the dating pool. It actually works, but when the single guy gets involved with a pretty blonde (Radha Mitchell), will he only get his heart broken all over again?"
1. What does "family" mean to you?
Being part of something, sharing the good times and the tough times but sharing....
2. What’s your ideal meal? Do you like to cook?
Yes, I was in Fast Food Nation,” but try as I might, its still hard to top a good steak.
My wife is a great cook, so the pressure is off! I do enjoy cooking but I kind of pick through the process and seem to have some patience issues. Still, I do a mean rissoto.
3. Do you recycle or eat organic?
We recycle and we try to eat organic as much as possible. This is for us as much as it is for our children, who we just want to have the best chance at a healthy life.
4. You have 2 daughters. If they entered a pageant like in Little Miss Sunshine, what would be their special talents?
The thought of that upsets me too much so I can't answer that!
5. Your known as a comedian. Do your kids think you’re funny?
My kids are much funnier than me. My eldest daughter is the only one who can make the baby laugh. I'm sweatin’ for hours, trying all my best stuff and then Lily comes in does one thing and the baby cracks up ... it can really mess with a guy’s confidence.
6. Are you a hands-on dad? Ever take on the carpool duties? (You’ve been spotted at soccer games & dance classes!)
I try to be. When I am not working, I love to do the dad thing and I find that the most amazing moments can happen in the most mundane situations, like carpool...
7. What keeps you up at night?
Kids with colds.
8. You grew up in Indiana and your wife is English. What’s it like raising a family in Hollywood?
Scary. This also keeps me up at night.
9. On what occasions are you "wasty"? (NOT hip, green, planet-friendly)
When someone offers me a ride on their private jet!! Fortunately for the planet, this is not a recurring problem.
