IT'S GREAT 2 B CORNY!

If there's food that really signifies summer, it's sweet, delicious corn. The health benefits of corn are its best-kept secret & make it a great addition to babies' diets. With its naturally sweet taste & nutrient-packed kernals, what's not to love?
Although babies, young children & adults love our flavors just as they are, right out of the cup, we've had lots of fun experimenting with other ways that Tastybaby® organic food for babies & toddlers can be used. We put our heads together to come up with cocktails, dips & spreads, soups, cupcakes & even muffins.
This month, Tastybaby® is highlighting a recipe with our newest flavor, Corn in the USA™, a tasty purée simply made from 100% certified organic American sweet corn, picked at the peak of ripeness. Try this delicious & easy recipe for one of our favorite breakfast foods, "Corn in the USA™ Muffins". We challenge your family not to pop them into their mouths before you can get them out of the pan.

Still unsure of the health benefits of corn for kids? Here are four reasons it's great to be corny!
Energy Alert: The Vitamin B1 (Thiamin) in corn, along with the folate, helps our bodies release energy from the foods we eat - and babies definitely need to get every bit of energy they can get to support all that important growth and development!
Fiber-ific: The fiber in corn doesn't just help to keep things moving smoothly through babies' developing digestive tracts. It also keeps blood sugars more stable and significantly reduces insulin levels, which can decrease the risk for developing type II diabetes!
Jam-packed with Antioxidants: The antioxidant activity of corn is higher than most other whole grains as well as lots of fruits and veggies. Antioxidants help keep our bodies functioning at their very best by fighting harmful pests called "free radicals" that can cause cancer and heart disease.
Fantastic Folate: Just 1/2 cup of corn contains almost half the Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA) of folates for babies 7-12 months old and 2/3 of the RDA for babies up to 6 months old. Getting adequate folate is associate with a decreased risk for cardiovascular disease and certain types of cancer.
