One of Sylvie 's favorite views

- Sylvie Greil, Contributing Writer
I was born in heels. Not even my closest friends know my real height. It took my husband years to figure out that I was actually just an average 5’6”. After several seasons of ballet flats, which I blissfully ignored, the platform has returned. I’ve been looking forward to the spring season since last fall, seeing myself strutting around in suede purple YSL pumps or white Fendi peep-toe skyscraper stilettos. Being pregnant wouldn’t have an affect this situation at all. Oh no. I would be stylish and preggers. Or so I thought.

THE CYCLE OF STYLE

- Liane Weintraub, Editor-in-Chief
We didn’t plan the timing of our pregnancies, but if we had, we couldn’t have done it any better. Sure, it would have been fun to have been pregnant at the same time. We would have been able to share our trials and tribulations, moan and complain together. But that wouldn’t have been nearly as environmentally sensitive. That doesn’t make any sense, you might say. It does, when you consider our special application of the mantra, “reduce, reuse, recycle.” It’s all about clothes, of course!

TASTY TALK: CINDY CRAWFORD
When Cindy Crawford and her husband, Rande Gerber, made the decision about five years ago to become full-time Malibu residents, the town definitely sat up & took notice. At the time, most celebrities treated Malibu as a weekend getaway or somewhere to spend their summer vacations. For those of us who live here year-round, the seasonal arrival of “Hollywood People” seemed to come with the onset of what we call “June Gloom,” that month of marine-layer fog that hangs over

PAPER OR PLASTIC? HOW ABOUT CUTE!

- Liane Weintraub, Editor-in-Chief
If there’s one thing we like more than a great pair of shoes at Tastybaby, it’s a tasty bag! It’s pretty much safe to say that we are handbag obsessed. There are so many hot new bags YSL’s chic hold-all, the Downtown, comes to mind. We favor the caramel-colored leather version and the purple patent leather!) Then there are our beloved classic stand-bys (who could ever pass up a “monogram” clutch from Louis Vuitton?). And no bag collection is ever complete without a good old-fashioned L.L. Bean tote for carting around kids’ clothes, snacks and wet bathing suits (in re-used plastic bags, natch!).

Give the curl a whirl and save some energy!
TASTY CHALLENGE: PROJECT GREEN LIGHT

- Debbie Fisher, Contributing Writer
I consider myself a strong environmentalist and an action oriented person. I turn off the lights, unplug my chargers and bring bags to the grocers. I’ve spent time in drought stricken Africa, so even my two year old doesn’t waist a drop of water when he is brushing his teeth. For whatever reason, I have been at a complete standstill on this light bulb issue which is one of the best things each of us can do to help the earth. Maybe the research seemed overwhelming. Maybe it’s because I haven’t made the commitment to Biodiesel either. I am embarrassed to say that I haven’t made the switch yet.
